I had heard tail of a great sandwich restaurant in the greater Pittsburgh area several years ago, so when my son and I decided to travel from Indiana to Penn State to watch the Hoosiers take on the Nittany Lions, I knew I wanted to give it a go. HOLY SMOKES! Absolutely one of the best reuben sandwiches I have ever had in my life! Fantastic all the way around. Reasonably priced, big portions, and quite honestly unrivaled flavor. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Love this place! We always go to the Fort Lauderdale location it's 24 hours & has Breakfast. The Pennsylvania no Breakfast but the pizza was Awesome!

Great food with a twist. They put the cole slaw and fries right on the sandwiches. Sandwich portions are large and comes with fries. My fav is the reuben and hubby loves the smoked sausage sandwich. I usually request the fries on the side.

I had went with my family to this establishment and ordered some drinks which were amazing! We also ordered 3 sandwiches and had to wait over an hour and 20 minutes with still no food arriving at our table. Other tables had arleady gotten their food that had come after us. We ultimately decided to pay for our drinks and leave. No compensation was offered to our table for the extended execpt a sorry and have a nice day. We arrived at 7:30 on a monday and it wasnt very busy maybe 10 tables max. Service was absolutely perfect but if you want food here please be advised you will lbe waiting well over an hour for simple main dish items.

Will not go again, definitely needs to do better, the management belittles staff in front of customs and screams orders instead of assisting them, a female manager who has no business working at an establishment if that's how she treats her employees I went to enjoy a night out and instead got the horror of what happens to young servers that work there, I watched young ladies do their best and keep positive attitudes with customers all while their "leader" screamed at them and stood around barking order, how do you expect these ladies to give their customers a positive experience while trying to keep it together for being treated poorly, power trip is not a strong enough word to describe management. I'm absolutely pleased with my server and service I received from her and give kudos to all the staff working under someone like that it went from a fun environment to an extremely tense one within moments from leadership that is to be there to help build confidence not tear it apart, truly sad to witness

Maybe the worst experience I've ever had at a Primanti's in the 12 years I've been one of their patrons!! Arrived at their Altoona, PA location about an hour after the World Cup championship had concluded. Go Spain!!! Place was nearly empty, maybe 20 people still winding up their time there. Would guess the place had been a mad house for the last few hours with the game celebrations still showing on every TV in the place.... 20+ TVs!! When I arrived, there was no one minding the FOS and I stood there for 6 minutes waiting. There was 'my first sign'!! Should've just left. Once seated, another 7 minutes went by before the server came over.... 13 minutes to be waited on with no one else before me or behind me. Wait it gets worse... I'm 67 and fairly patient at this point in my life. BUT, this got more ridiculous by the minute. I'll short this story up a bit... you know where this is headed I'm sure! Ordered coke, water, a slice of pepperoni pizza, and the Cheese Steak Bomb! The perfect meal!! Tick Tock... Tick Tock... Waitress delivered the drinks just fine. A little more time than it should've taken. But that's because of the staff social scene at the food/soda window... There was an 11 minute wait before any other interaction with my waitress. She delivered the slice like a drive by shooting. Didn't even make eye contact. Wow!! Another 17 minutes went by, again no interaction, and delivered the sandwich meal. There were my empty glasses on the table, even pushed them bit closer to the side of the table. A good waiter checks his tables at all viewpoints, to anticipate the patrons needs. Nope!! She literally asks me if I'd like another coke.... 'yes, and water too please'. The meal wasn't prepared as I requested... sent the whole plate back with her. Watched her walk into the kitchen and came out a few minutes later with my upgraded plate in her hands... Good Job!! They actually made it worse.... I ate a little of the (now) overcooked sandwich and a couple of the cold droopy fries and pushed the plate to the center of the table. More minutes go by..... she comes back and asks me if I'm ready for the check..... ???? Never once did she ask about the food at all!!! Conclusion.... management came over, we had a nice chat. He just charged me for the slice and the coke... $2.64. I paid the bill, no tip... waited for her to come over which is when I told her that her tip reflected her effort. Happy travels everyone. It's your money. Don't feel like you are below receiving good service and good food!! Peace out, be safe.... David Conner
